Hi Also check if there is any side play with the shaft in the bearing, this was why i had to replace mine including the main shaft ones too. Paul

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!
Hi all I went to the field and powered up into hover and to my horror the tail was spinning like crazy no matter what i did with the stick. So i sat it down and moved the rudder stick and noticed i was getting no movement in either direction. So i went home and put on a spare servo, same problem. The gyro light was on as usual so looked for a loose wire but found nothing. I removed the servo from the gyro and plugged directly into channel 4 and all is well. So it seems apparent that my gyro has gone bad! This i find very strange due to not having crashed, just goes to show the cheap electronics that are in this machine, its only a couple of months old. [&o] Oh well about to order the GY401 with a HS56, but at least i can use these on the rex i get in a few months! laters

Hi Gary and all Gary are you still using the stock tx on the falcon? I have replaced mine with a Jr set up and wondering whether i should run the throttle curve for 3d flat 100, or 100, 90, 80, 90, 100. Any suggestions? Thx Paul

Also in your pic, your tail gear mesh is not in line, though could be the picture! Is there any binding/slipping when spinning the blades? Apart from that it all looks good to me. Anyone else?

yeah its the same as mine, but you should move the blade grips a bit further right so they are flush with the end of the tail shaft. How much is it spinning?

[quote]ORIGINAL: Whirley Bird IGGY, I noticed that you still used the plastic blade holders. Will those blades also work on the Honey Bee? I saw a set for $9.99 that came with spacers so I assume they can be made to fit. That site has some really good prices. Thanks for the link. Yeah i used a pitch gauge on each blade to get them dead level, plus it helps that they are fiber rather than the stock woodies! They measure 280mm and pre-balanced. Here is a pic [image]http://server2.uploadit.org/files/wiggy742-DSC00284.jpg[/image]

RE: Falcon 3d help
Ok this is the balancer you want, though you need a charger and DC power supply unit. Its going to cost a few $$$ [link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMGS7&P=7[/link]

RE: Falcon 3d help
That two pin plug is what art-tech use to program the speed controller, so cover it up and tuck it away. That white plug on the battery is what you use to charge it (though you need a cell balancer). This balancer makes sure the 3 cells in the battery are the same voltage and maintains full performance of the battery. Otherwise it will become unbalanced and will not give as long flight times, and possibly damage it. So get one of those if you have the money. I just got one today and both my batteries were unbalanced.

If you want to test it to make sure, then thats easy. Just remove either aileron or elevater servo from the receiver and plug the rudder servo into what you removed and thats it. Wiggle the right stick and see. [:D]

Well if the rx supports positve shift ie jr frequency (hitec/futaba are negative) then the set up is the same using jr channel assignments. Hope this helps, though not familiar with the walkera range sorry.

RE: JR XP6102
Ok Do they move in the correct direction when you move your sticks? If they do just: Center all your tims/sub trims/servo arms then re-centre the swash plate using the links on the heli, for some reason the servo positions are different to the stock radio gear!
