Jeff, Wild Bill from Menominee, what plans are you going off of on your 124" Mossie, I've always wanted to build one for my father. He loves that plane. Wild Bill

The owner of the Tigercat is Paul Hohensee from the West Bend area, and it was built Paul LeTourneau a number of years ago. Im not sure if it was 100% scatch built or not but it sure is a beautiful plane. Wild Bill

Jeff, I forgot to mention Mark is coming ouy to the Owatonna event and he should have both the Tripe and the Alby with him. Flew the Alby tonight only for the second time with a different prop and motor combination. DA 85 with a 26 x 6 xoar axial prop. Plane flies beautiful with the right motor prop combo. (We made 4, 7 min flights) Wild Bill

RE: NEW BUSA 1/3rd Scale Fokker Triplane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff, We have found that using latex paint no primer is needed. The paint bonds very well, just make sure the solartex is clean. When done I always spray a thin coat of the min-wax urathane varnish out of the spray bomb. If using an automotive type paint you must apply the polybrush primer or the paint will not stick. Look forward to seeing you in Fond du lac in a couple of weeks. Wild Bill

To all the Tripe fans out there, I just finished the 2nd 1/3 scale Tripe, it is going in the paint shop next week. The color scheme is a surprise. I will be using an older GT-74 converted to electronic ignition. I will have the 1/3 Albatros and the Tripe on the road with me this summer. Hope to see you all this summer. Wild Bill

RE: Bates 106
Sam, I Know on the fiberglass you use a soldering iron to heat the brass up and basicallt burn the rivets in, do you do the same on the tape or just press to get an imprint. Not much experience in WWII, basically a WWI guy. Very beautiful airplane Sam. Looking forward to flying with you this summer Wild Bill

RE: NEW BUSA 1/3rd Scale Fokker Triplane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark Enderby flew the DR-1 and I flew the Albatros. I was not happy with the prop I selected for the Albatros, it really seemed to lug the motor down. I could not make another flight with a different prop, well Ill just say motor issues. It will fly it again as soon as I make a few changes. It flew and landed with no real issues. I also got my hands on the DR-1, all I can say is "OUTSTANDING" Balsa Usa would like to thank to the Fond du lac club for allowing us to use thier field. It is the nicest field any of us will ever see. Wild Bill
