RE: Hobby King Couger P20 Conversion - Mods Please Read
I too would like to see this build,as dennises projects have been very good in the past and have been well supprted on R.C.U. I hate too see all the bickering on the threads in general and its about time we all entered into the spirit of our great hobby for what it is supposed to be FUN!!!!! So Mr moderator give the guy a chance and let him get on with the build and all the other snipers out there take it for what it is someone shearing his time and experience. Looking forward too it. Good luck Den

Hi Guys i fly jets at the Raydon site most of the time. As long as we fly in the designated area, which is more than big enough there are no problems. Hope to see you all on the day, and pray for good weather. Regards Steve

E FLIGHT 120 RETRACTS AND THE NANO
Hi Guys Can someone please help? Has any one managed to fit the E Flight 120 size electric retracts in the Nano. The mains fit a treat no problem. The nose retract unit sticks well out of the fuzz, so the whole of the nose gear is hanging out the bottom. Expensive mistake to make only discoverd this after i fitted the mains and cut the legs to lenght. Many thanks Steve

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
[:)]Hi Guys great thread thanks to all. Started assembling the nano today, with the centre section. Air brake/flap no problem,my only concern is the undercart mounting blocks i think mine are made from a very brittal hard wood. I pre drilled the holes for the retracts one size under the screw size and very slowly tightend the screw, the wood still tried to split so soaked both mounts in thin Cyno i hope this holds up. Iam useing the E Flight 120 size electric retracts they look superb and work a treat. so easy to set up,flying off our grass strip will give them a real test. Ill report back when theve been used in anger. Roll on Summer regards to all. Steve

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?
Hi Guys First many thanks to all that contributed to the thread, assembly has been a lot easier with your help. Test flew the l39 yesterday and apart from the gear doors closeing before the wheels retracting fully all went well. Flew like it was on rails.I have now adjusted the servo travel speed on the up2 valve so the wheels are away before the doors work. Set up the contral throws as recommended in the thread. CofG 5.25 inches spot on,i have 2 servos in my tail plane and about 8ozs of lead in the nose with 2 lipos and 1 niam,no problem. I chose 2 servos because my Savex l39 had a servo strip its gears on one elevator half when iwas flying, but with the other servo working i got away with it. I have a 160 Merlin for power so a little extra wieght didnt make much difference. Many thanks again to you all and happy landings. Kind rgds Steve.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Hi ira d If the bob cat 120 is the same as a Falcon 120,I have had no issuses with the elevator or the stab. IF you use 2 servos on the elevator one each end as in the instructions you will have no problems. My Falcon has now had over 40 flights and has performed faultlesley, its wren 54 powered and is flown off grass with no issuses. Get it built and enjoy your self. Regards Wingart.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
hi bigtop Yes the rudders and ailerons are very thick. I made up a wedge shape spacer taped to the trailing edge so that the control surface became parallel to my pillar drill plate marked through the control horn and drilled straight through. Spot on --------------------------- --------------------------- If you want more help ask big plumps for my number and phone me at home, Regards steve.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Hi 454. its 5 degrees down thrust and yes you do need too cover the bottom in foil or gaurd the tail cone of the turbine when starting. I left my fuel tap open when filling {stupid thing to do give my self a good talking too}and had a wet start, this melted the covering on the bottom of the tailplane in seconds. Lucky for me no damage to wood work not even scorched. Regards Wingart
