Hurricane XP wheels wont pull out ???
Hello, just curious to know if this appens to you. i loose a bolt nut on one rear wheel. since that, i double check each bolt nut and found that is very difficult to pull out the wheel without the bolt nut in palce [:(] i suppose that the bolt cut pattern inside the wheel is extremly tight. Someone else as experienced this problem ??[>:] Ben.

my local hobby shop stock all parts for all of these buggys. the major question is: witch one is a high quality product and reputation on a race track ? all is based on quality (parts, engine power and durability). What brand of buggys is the top at your local race track ?

RE: BIG problem with DS811 servos... please help !
Danny, i even tried to isolate the problem connecting one servo at a time directly into the receiver port without servo extension. same problem occur. Like you said, they stop jittering when i apply light pressure. this morning i decided to try 811's on my Hangar 9 P-51 who have some smaller surfaces and same problem occur. i already use 8101 on all surfaces on this plane. no problem ! batterie draining time on P-51 (1100 ma 6v JR full charged) = 12 minutes[:o] i don't understand... but i suspect that theses servos are deffect.
ORIGINAL: dsnyder That is likely caused by the play in the output gear of the 811 since it is a single ball bearing servo coupled with the high resolution of the servo and large throws. Without any load on the servo, it may jitter a bit as it tries to find center. Does the jittering stop when you apply light pressure on the control surface with your finger? If so, this won't happen in the air as flight loads will prevent it from happening. Things to check to minimize this are to make sure that the servo mounting screws are not too tight, mounting rails too tight against the servo, slop, loose hinges, too flexible pushrods, restrictive hinges, etc. If it does not stop with light pressure on the surface likely the servo pot is worn and needs replaced or there is a connection problem such as a dirty connector on an extension etc. If it is truely draining the battery that fast, there is a problem with your battery or charger. BIG problem with DS811 servos... please help !
Hello Danny ! First, thanks to bring your help in this forum. it's appreciated[;)] i both a brand new Funtana 90 about 3 months ago. i do like the manual recomendation said and i decided to install 4 DS811 on aileron and elevator. these servos come with the 8103 that i have both in 2003 (invoice upon request) and i was never use these servos before. my servo horn are JRPA215 (heavy duty) and my linkage is ok. i use a JR537 on my throttle and a Hi-Tec 5645 on my rudder. When i switch the power on, all and only 811's begin to glitch. all the other servo's are OK. i was trying different linkage, receiver, batteries, switch and even servo extension. i am using Heavy Duty wire and a 770 PCM receiver on a 1100 mah JR batterie (6V). i bring my 811's to my local hobby shop and sended to you (service) for a bench test about 3 weeks ago. When they came back, the report sheet told me that these servo's are good !! OK, i reinstall my servo's in my Funtana and the same problem occur !!! and drain my 1100 mah batterie in 15 minutes !! it's impossible to fly with that and it's impossible to adjust my surfaces because the glitch is too important. You know, i am a big fan of JR products and i realy love it ! all i whant, is that someone help me to resolve this problem...[:o]

Whel, i agree all of you guys but did you know that the chatering problem was fixed in the second generation of the DS811. Yes... now when you buy a DS811 you get the new generation and you will find it in the new 9303 transmitter kit too. my local hobby shop return a bunch of these servo's (first generation) to JR and they changed them for new one free. i don't whant to fly my Funtana 90 until i fix the problem...[>:]

JR DS811 won't stop chatter !
These DS 811 servos was purchesed with the 8103 special pack and it's not recommended to use them !! thez wont stop chatering on my Funtana 90. i use 2 DS811 on my aileron and 1 on each elevator. No problem with HiTec 5645 on my rudder and JR 537 on throttle. Whats wrong with DS 811 ?? i was trying different receiver like 700 (PPM), 770 (SPCM) and 649 (SPCM) and the same problem appear on each receiver. i don't understand ??? i sended my 4 DS811 to Horizon Hobby for a check up but they return the servos and tell me that they have no problem !!! WHAT !!! i'm not crazy !! it seem that i'm not the only one to have this problem and Horizon won't fix or replace their servos !!!! OK i spend more than 5000$ since 3 years in JR products and when you have a problem with "cheaper" servos who cost around 40 box, you stay with your problems !!! this is the customer service i have... whell, i know what to do next time... Well, you guys have some good opinion about these engines (BME-DA) some people are using ZDZ but thez are in minority... so now my choice will be betwen BME 50 and DA-50. now it's time to give me your opinion about pitts style muffler to use with these engines ! does the engine run good with pitts style muffler and tell me what kind of pitts mufler are you using. i know that some engine will lost a lot of RPM with pitts muffler and reflect on throtle transition... can you guys comment on this between BME and DA ? so, if i plan to buy a BME 50 for my GP Wagstaff, do you consider this engine have enough power for that plane with a 22-10 or 22-8 prop ? i think that the ZDZ or DA 50 will be overpowered... i just whant to do some aerobatic imac sequence NOT 3D !!. The BME 50 seem to be a verry smooth engine, easy to setup and verry light !!. At this moment, i will waiting for the BME 50Xtreme. i am sure this engine will give a bit more power than the original...

gas or glow
 if you plan to instal a gasoline engine in a 80" wing span and above, i think you will have some big problems !! because the gas engine are to weight for that size of plane... you will lost all caracteristics of an aerobatic plane and will have tendancie to nose drop... i'll even added that the firewall is not maiden to receive a gasser... gas engines are maiden for 87" wing span an up. belive me, H9 Edge 540, try a Moki 2.1 (glow) if you want some fun flying and make awesome aerobatic manoeuvres with easy landing and illimited vertical ;)
