RE: Clutch Problem Second time Fixing
I learned about clutchs from old school guys. I always do a quick burn in and the head revoltions when your idle is set right should be so slow it just barely moves.

RE: RICKS R/C is CLOSED!!!!!!!
Yes, i am one of the scammers. NOT!!! I never had a problem with any of the others, its was Ron Lund the King of Nothing as we see. He began with presenting himself as a bully that want to kick my A$$, then proceeded to cuss me up on side and down the other. Ron's final words were for me to get my trucking ass out of his shop and never come trucking back. I never raised my voice. I left the items, I had in my hands on the counter looked at Nathan. I shrugged my shoulders walked out. Time deals everyone they're just deserts. I got my revenge without having to win the lottery and buy Rick's out from under him. The way I see it, the lady did what she needed to do to get her money back out of the business. She or her husband provided the start up capital and $60 grand a year is not enough return for such a large out lay of capital, buildings that are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, taxes on property and the inventory, power bills and upkeep on the buildings . The numbers probably did not add up as a good financial situation anymore, for all we know is she managed to break even or less in the hole with this business adventure.

In my opinion it could have happened to a sleazier guy. He cussed me out and then ran me out of Rick's. He is a very psychotic individual and I for one am glad to see, Rick's Helicopters gone.

RE: servos for trex nitro
I am a fan of the 2.4 ghz radios, one point you should remember is 2.4 ghz radios have less lag time from input to servo reaction. The DS821 servos that are standard with the DX7 have enough torque at 72 oz/in @ 4.8 volts and a speed of .19 sec per 60 degree arc travel. I would use them on throttle, collective, elevator and aileron, and I would get one of the Futaba high speed digitals for the rudder. The Trex 600 is just an overpowered and overgrown 30 size heli, don't stress too much on what to use. Just pick good quality servos which the DS821 servos are in my opinion better than Futaba's S3151 servos.

RE: OS50 SXh Crank moving...???
No woodruff key or washer is used between the fan and motor. Pressure will keep it in place. Remember to put a dab of blue locktite in the prop nut when you tighten it.

RE: Raptor 50 engine alignment problem
What third bearing? Did you leave the prop thrust washer on the crank shaft? If so take it out, because the clearance between fan, clutch and the bell housing will be tight.

You will have to get a 50 conversion kit, about 100 dollars. It includes motor mount, boom and other extras need to convert a raptor 30 to 50 version 2. Here is the link, http://www.helihobby.com/html/raptor_heli.html#PARTTTR3830.

RE: Hawk Sport not enough lift
Your head speed is to low, its a heli not a plank. At mid stick your carb should be at a high half throttle, the engine should sound like its balls to the wall. More pitch only loads up the head, which slow the blades down and no lift.

Hawk pro head links?
I have a raptor titan, which I built and had no problem setting up the head. I bought a hawk pro 30, I can't make heads nor tails of how to set the head up. All the links were made up but the lengths were not set. What lengths do you use for each of the links on the head? I can find some measurements in the manual, but not all of them? Is there a guru of century helicopter set up? I call century but they were not much help!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Heli engine recommendation
What fuel and glow plug are you using? Try an Enya #3 or Os #8 and run 30% nitro fuel, the added nitro will smooth out the idle, transition and upper end. Try that before spending $150 on an engine, I would go for the ringed engine. As long as you don't toast the piston and sleeve replacement of the ring will bring the engine back when the time comes to rebuild it.

RE: How to make fuel
Raptor are you mixing it in your martini glass. I think you would have better consistancy of fuel if you mixed it a 10 metric gallon carboy. Remember that is shaken and not stirred on your heli martinis.

it could. two seconds at high enough rpm to engage cutch can damage it. you will need to get a spare liner and clutch.

RE: TT70PRO Tuning help needed
Have you had any other rc nitro engines? You need to get some help locally. When you open the box to the engine, the engine has never been run. You will need to break it in, to break it in you need to make sure the high speed needle valve is turned out three turns. This is the starting point it is supposed to run very rich and will die when you pull off the glow driver. If the engine is mount in the heli, you will need to be able to open the throttle fully to tune the engine. Otherwise you are just pulling your own chain, no you don't have to have the engine hot to tune it. You have to tune the high end first at full open throttle, make the engine scream so that one more click lean will make it die, then back it off about 200 or so rpms. You tune the idle speed mixture if you are having problems holding a good idle and or having problems transitioning to high speed. Is your carb twin needle or air bleed or do you know?

RE: Loctite 601?
Is the locktite liquid or gel? If liquid and the package indicates threadlocker, what color does it have? Red is permanent, you will have to heat the parts till they glow to break the bond. Blue is non permanent and is what i would use on any model aircraft part that is metal to metal. You don't use locktite threadlocker on plastic it will soften it and the parts and screws will fail. Locktite gel is just a silicone sealant like RTV. The fuel problem, you should change your glow plug to an Enya #3 or OS #8 and use 30% heli fuel. Fuel manufacturers use different methods to make their mixes but that is a subject that is covered to extreme in the fuel threads. Gyro, are you arming the gryo in headlock mode, if so it will blink for a few seconds while it sets its orientation. The gyro will center the rudder servo and the LED will go to solid red. If you are arming the gyro in non headlocking mode, the gyro will blink continuously. Are the servos digital or analog? A slight musical hum from digitals is normal. A ticking sound is a servo that is binding. Binding causes severe battery drain and will shorten your flying day.

does the radio have end point adjustment? for head holding, avcs mode the end point is adjusted 50% and over, non head holding mode is 49% end point adjustment and less. the gear switch will act like a dual rate for the gyro sensitivity.

RE: JR Venture 30 with OS 37
yes, you will need the prop drive hub. If the Webra used the prop drive hub, you will have to get one for the Os 37. From what I see at Tower, you have to get it separately from the engine. The one from the Webra will not work because of the brass collet, the Os needs one with the flat notch in it.
