RE: Hurricane
Well I really have no need for a real fancy radio, thats why I'm sticking with the am version, Plus its a little more simple to use. I really don't want all that button pushing crap.

Hurricane
I'm looking at buying a JR xr2i Radio and receiver for my buggy. It comes with two new servos. Does anyone know if those servos will work with the hurricane. Will about any servo work with the hurricane, or are there special ones I need to look for. Wolv.

RE: Hurricane
I agree with firebird. I do think the Hurricane is well built, I've done some wild stuff with mine. I'm just severely disappointed in the quality of the radio and receiver. I don't know how much more money Redcat with have to spend to up the quality of these two parts, but in my mind would be well worth it. Hard to drive the buggy, when you have nothing to drive it with. On another note, I do need to check that out Firebird. I would like to upgrade mine also. I'll have to get with you one of these days. I was actually in your hometown last Wednesday working on some equipment. Wolv.

RE: Hurricane
Don't worry bout it Firebird, I will take a look at some radios on Ebay. Prolly more than likely the one you told me about. Plus the servos are cheaper and need a couple of them. Servo prolly just went bad over the couple months of sitting. It was working fine when I put it away for the winter.

Hurricane
Need Servo Upgrades, Steering Servo is broke. Also anyone else have issues with the AM recall, Radio and Receiver sent out by redcat. Receiver I got back did not work, had to pull the one out of my 1/10th scale. Now am having problems with the Radio. Anyone know whats going on here. Really don't care to spend a boat load of money on these two items, should have had properly working equipment out of the box. I enjoy redcat, and I own three. But a little disgusted with quality of Radio and Receiver. I guess, I will have to spend more money to purchase better equipment. Anyone have any ideas....... Wolv.

RE: tsunami wont start
what kind of ignitor r u using, if your using the one that came in the starter kit....ITS JUNK!!!!! Pull your plug out and place it in the ignitor and see if you can get the plug to glo orange. If not you need to find a different ignitor, buy a better one from you LHS, and pick up a couple extra plugs. I'm betting its all in your ignitor... Wolv.

Hurricane
Quick question???? When I run my hurricane it almost sounds like it has a kackle to it. Kind of like it might possibly be sucking some air. When it sits and idles for a few seconds, the motor actually drops a little rpm and idols slower. I'm not sure really where to look first. I've adjusted the carb settings quite a few times and just can't figure it out. It just sounds to me like it is getting some air, but I can't figure out where at. Wolv.

I live in Great Bend, there is about eight of us here that race on a make-shift track by the airport. Most are racing Revo's and Cens. We all bashed last Saturday. Oh and Firebird you can get byrons fuel in Great Bend so you don't have to drive so far to Wichita...There is an LHS in town, called BassX... Wolv.

Yeah,..A couple of friends and I have a track just outside the great bend airport that we built last year. Pretty good size and some decent jumps, prolly pretty bush league compared to others but we enjoy the drinking and driving. We race about every weekend when it warms up. Usually first person to break something wins....LOL[:D] Wolv.

RE: Waterproofing?
And other risks involved when running your engine in the cold temps. You have to lean your engine more the colder it gets, causing less oil to be ran thru the motor. That is the big reason I don't run mine in the cold temps. No need to replace a perfectly good engine just to run thru a little snow. I have 16 inches on the ground right now, and my buggies are going to stay nice and warm until spring. Wolv.

RE: Tx question
I would say you need to adjust the toe as much as possible before running it. It is pretty normal to do that. You may have to adjust the other tire also to compensate. You want them to both be pointing as straight as possible. Then you can use your steering trim to make the final adjustment, or to fine tune. I think when I first used my radio. Some settings were set at 100, and some were set at zero. The only ones you need to worry about adjusting is the steering trim and throttle trim. I've never even touched my throttle trim. My factory settings are as follows: FPA-ST 120 SPD-IN 100 EXP-ST 0 ABS-PT 50 ACC-FW 0 BMX-RT 100 TRM-ST 73 (Thats your steering trim) DR-St 100 ATI-BK 100 SBT-ST 0 Never messed with any setting but the steering trim. I adjust the throttle pretty much with the carb settings themselves. Those are the factory settings for the FM Digital LCD Radio. (Except for Steering trim, which was factory set at 100) Wolv.
