RE: Seagull 120 Cub.
the head will stick out the bottom of the cowling so that should not be a problem also the landing gear cross wires broke on mine twice I replaced the gear and it broke again on an easy landing so I fixed it my self. Get as much throw as you can on the rudder and use a choke severo michael

take some fuel tubing and slide it on your axels to create some friction on your wheels just enough to keep it from rolling at idle I read that tib bit here on rcu michael

I have one it has a mt 35cc on it my question is has anybody had a problem with the elivator and the rudder hinges braking at the hinge pin it has happened to me twice iam using 4-40 control rods and when the engine is running i noticed there is a lot of viberation comming from the control rods so i changed them to 1/4 dowl rods with 4-40 ends and before you ask yes the prop is balanced and the hinges are heavy duty michael

I have an MT-35 on mine and had to add a lot of weight about a pound or so the weight wont hurt a thing just balance it level or slightly nose low depends on how you fly

RE: Seagull's Piper J-3 Cub
still waiting on sevro extentions form sevro city so I finished up all that i could to include the c of g decals and all so I went and fired up the engine to prime it in stead of using a starter I removed the high speed needle and shot some fuel down it and reinstalled the needle at 1 3/4 turns and fliped it 3 times and it fired with the choke on, choke off flip 10 times and she fired up let it warm up and adjusted the high to max rpm and backed it off a bit then I let it run at about 3500 rpm for about 1/2 hour then set the low end and let it run transistion is good I will try to fly it next weekend michael

RE: Advanced sight of the RL-Comp Tempest
Hi Mike Good to hear from you. Happy New Year! Yes each elevator will have a servo. The stab will also be 1 piece like the Flash. Also, as the wing is a little thicker than the Tazor was, I can use standard servos on the flaps and ailerons. Chris

RE: Advanced sight of the RL-Comp Tempest
The wings for the first Tempest are nearly done. I just have to work out the internal structure and get it CNC cut before fitting and joining the two halves. This would have been done today, but I decided to go flying instead[:D] Chris

A few Pics from Debden
A few of us from the small but compact Debden Jet Club met up today for the second meet of the Year. Here are a few pics. As usual Mick managed to dwarf the rest of the models with his very impressive Fei Bao T33 and F15. Chris

RE: Seagull's Piper J-3 Cub
i used the supplied fuel tank and re plumb it for gas. as far as the ignitoin box i mounted it to the front of the fire wall using rubber bands and eye hooks. I also used a sevro for the choke. I have tow gassers already. I hope to fire up the engine this week and check every thing out and adjust this engine the batteries i put over the cg. I just a little concerned about metal touching the ignition box. I still have to get some small clamps for the ignition lead dont like it to vibrate michael
