RE: Flight Conditions Setup - Futaba 12Z
Bob, The following link has a lot of information about conditions. It references the 12FG, however, the 12FG, 12Z and 14MZ all work pretty much the same way. www.futaba-rc.com/faq/faq-12fg-q1151.html Woodie

RE: Futaba 14SG
Could you just assign the brake/elev mix to a switch (gear switch) so the mix is 'off' when the gear is up? Should be easy to do with the 14SG. Woodie

RE: Charge to 4.1v/cell
Joe, I notice the references you listed are for Li-ion batteries, not Li-poly. I believe the chemistry is different, li-poly cells have a higher power/density. I wonder if the information on your references apply to li-poly cells as well as li-ion. If so, I think it would have come up from the heavy users and li-poly testers on the 'other' RC forum. Woodie

I don't know, with that tiny little runway we might have trouble landing our pattern planes on it..... ;-) Just kidding everyone, the runway is huge, I think you could land a full scale J3 on it, turn around, taxi back and take off with a little bit of headwind. Woodie

RE: Newbie Servo Questions.
Bill, if your transmitter supports dual aileron servos, IMO it is actually easier to set up/trim the plane with dual aileron servos instead of a single. The single will work fine, but any need for aileron differential or things like that will require you to adjust mechanically rather than programming thru the transmitter. Woodie

RE: 62
I don't know how much is 'noticeable trim', but if it is anything more than about 1/32", I would look for a warped wing first. Also check to make sure your elevators are aligned perfectly. Second issue, needing right rudder trim sounds like you might need a little more right thrust. Woodie

RE: 12 FG Solution
Good idea.... You could accomplish the same thing by setting up a condition based on the retract switch up position. Then, if you accidently turn on your radio with the retract switch in the up position, the radio won't transmit until you reset the retract switch. Both accomplish the same thing. Woodie
