RE: Should I buy dx6 or dx7 for 450se?????opinions please
Hiya, The Dx7 would be the better choice(got one in my Trex450SE)- Its more up to date than the dx6(got that in my other trex450xl!)- the dx7 comes with Standard size digitals which will not fit in the trex- suggest using Hitec 65 all round and Futaba 401/S9254 for tail-holds the rear end rock steady!!!- the dx7 is also faster as regards servo movement(latency) -got a much larger screen, rotating aerial and is basically a nice unit to use( looking foward to the DX9 though!!!!!!-) bear in mind you will have to buy your own charger(UK Models don't ship with one, maybe different for US??) and that it uses JR polarity-the centre pin on dx6/7 is negative... Also the dx7 is DSM2 which is better than the dx6(dsm) and finally,The dx7 is FULL RANGE,unlike the dx6 which is a parkflyer system. Check out the forums regarding the Spektrum, lots more info out there... Hope this helps!! 3dx..

RE: DX7 setup for T-Rex
Andrew- THIS is exactly what I was looking for-just bought myself a Spextrum DX7 which has replaced ALL my 35mhz gear as I'am fed up of all the glitches and noise that I got from my rex 450se- just out of interest, will these settings also work for my Trex 600 ??- I plan to use the AR6100 on the 450 and the AR7000 on the larger machine.. Thank again.... Lenny

RE: BEST FOAMY FREE PLAN
I've built both and if you want something that flys similar to your shocky,go for the mini 3dx- I used a 2208/34 and 2cell setup-with a 10x4.7 this will fly outdoors in calm conditions- hover well easy and can do all the usual 3d stuff- the bipe is also good but because of the wingloading is'nt as nice as the 3dx-saying that,if you keep it light it will do the business-blenders and torque rolls especially good!!!!- You can use a 3cell setup on the 3dx but you will have to watch out for tail twist-use 3mm depron throughout and whats left of your shocky(carbon rods, linkages, etc.

RE: himax cobri combo????
If you got the box with the 3 ratio's,use the 6.6.1 setup and a 12x6 APCe prop- you willhave more than enough power, this is the setup I use on my overweight 3dx-mini funtana and most of the ones that I built from plans from www.3dfoamy.com.-try also FP Evo20c 1500-1800 lipo's- that lot will keep up with the glow boys!!!!

RE: Flatana Video
CJKLING-just finished building a Reflection as pre instructions-ie; with all the hardware-not impressed, plastic is nasty and breaks easy- Did you build yours standard or did you use tape(blenderm),reason i'am asking is that I got one yesterday at my local LHS (they were selling them cheep as nobody seems to be buying them!!!!).[:D]

RE: Flatana Motor Choice Help
That motor will do the job and it WILL outlast the plane[:D]-I used a axi 2208/34 and 3s lipo-on half power mine would do everything(I only fly outdoors)-full power was only used for verticals and insane punch out-don't get me wrong, the flatana's nice but its designed for flying,1 not so good landing and its bye bye!!-ditch the landing gear and use a prop saver... wot 4.
