RE: Official RC10GT Thread
sweet gt mate, i wish mine was still lookin sooo shiny and new! i run an O.S cv-rx .18 with 18/62 gearing and it still pops wheelies all day long, cant really give much advise on a .12 though sorry! only thing i can say is get a MIP 4n1 clutch, makes so much difference!

RE: surfaces :x
i drift at my work, its a painted warehouse floor and its sweet for it! tried on tarmac and it seemed too unsteady, half way through a slide i kept on hitting small dents in the road and spinning out, started to quite frustrating after a few times!

RE: tamiya TA 06 pro kit or TA 05
i recently got a TT01d type E and its a great drifter, tamiyas cheapest kit and loads of hop ups available! i have an ezrun 8.5t brushless combo in it and it flys haha!

RE: crezenzi brake RC10GT
ORIGINAL: quietnas1 Titanium brake disc is nice. I actually had a bronze disc when I had my RC10GT. If you need a new bracket fir the brakes Losi Parts House has them. You can actually build a gt with all the parts they have.
i tend to buy everything off ebay, mainly RCBOYZ if they have the parts i need! i bought a mip clutch off losi parts house when i first dug my car out, couldnt find one anywhere else and i was melting spur gears like they were going out of fasion haha! shipping always seems too expensive to the UK from tower hobbies and similar websites, especially when buying something that costs like $4 lol!

RE: crezenzi brake RC10GT
ORIGINAL: proanti1 I wouldnt bother with it... I mean, if you wanted to do a vintage build, just for the hell of it, I guess I can understand it. But these things never worked right, the stock disc setup is far superior.
thanks for the advice proanti1, i had heard good and bad things about them! my brake is s**t at the min, bought a new system a while ago and it was spot on, not anymore though! is it possible that the bracket wears out after time? i have tried a new disc but no luck! thanks
ORIGINAL: Big Alice If you had a small lathe to make the brake drum, looks like the rest of it is just stuff you have laying around. A little brass strap and some linkage.
unfortunately i dont have a lathe and its a bit complicated for me haha, id probably end up 'braking' it (no pun intended)

RE: crezenzi brake RC10GT
ORIGINAL: quietnas1 They haven't made them in quite a long time now. Might try ebay. That's the only thing I can think of.
i have only got back into rc over the last 6 months or so, i was too young and didnt have the money to do all the mods and stuff last time i used them haha! are they worth the hastle or should i just get a titanium vented disc brake, my friend has one and it seems a lot better than the stock one! thanks for the replies!

RE: TT01 Question
id use the one out of the GT, they will work fine for now, i have an RC10GT myself and i took the servo out of that whilst i was waiting for a new one to come! if in the future you feel like you need faster steering then go for a high torque/high speed servo! as for batteries, the one you were looking at on ebay will be fine, the higher the Mah the longer it will last!

RE: brushless motor
hobbywing EZRUN are good, cheap aswell! i have the 8.5t in my tt01 and it flys on a 3 cell lipo, more fun on a 2 cell tho! id probably say ebay for everything, i dont shop anywhere else for parts etc, i find ebay more convenient!

RE: TT01 Question
i recently got the gt3b and its sweet! undoubtedly the best for the price, only problem i have had is slamming the brakes on too hard and snapped the trigger (part already on its way from china though) good range, couldnt even tell what direction my tt01 was facing haha! id probably just get a traxxas 7075 servo, also good bang for buck!!

RE: rustler with SH motor?
i thought the 3.3 was a .20 engine, considering a 2.5 is a .15, a 3.0 is a .18 and a 3.5 is a .21... makes sense to me!!

RE: Fuel for HPI Firestorm??
iv never used 16% myself, iv seen it once or twice though! used to use 10% about 10 years ago when i was young, i use 25% tornado now, its really good fuel just a bit expensive.

RE: Fuel for HPI Firestorm??
ORIGINAL: 1QwkSport2.5r Are we talking oil content or nitro content? If its oil, I break-in on 14-16% oil and drop down to 12% for normal running. If its nitro, I run 20% all the time. The more nitro you have the wider the tuning window (sweet spot) it will have. Less nitro narrows your tuning window so the perfect tune is a little trickier to get depending on the engine. Less nitro is more efficient, since the needle is leaner. More nitro needs a fatter needle to compensate for the extra oxygen in the fuel (nitro = full of oxygen molecules) Most engines will run just fine on 10% nitro, but most folks want a little more power so stepping up the nitro a tad will give more power. It comes down to how much you're willing to spend. The engine isnt going to care much what you run in it as long as it has some methanol and oil in it. If you're a good tuner, you could run it on 0-5% nitro too with a few easy modifications.
i thought it was easier with lower nitro? i might be thinking RTR and race blended fuel!

RE: Fuel for HPI Firestorm??
probly just get a little more engine life with 16% and its much easier to tune with lower %

RE: I am having trouble starting my nitro rc car
remove it from the car keep the fuel lines on, submerge it in water (keeping the ends of the fuel lines out of the water) squeeze one line to block it and blow down the other one and watch for air bubbles and see where they come from (if any) be sure not to get any water in the tank or it will most likely cause more problems when you try starting it up again!! out of interest, what car is it?

RE: I am having trouble starting my nitro rc car
sounds like an air leak, try getting some new fuel lines! if that fails id try the tank for leaks!

RE: Rc10 GT forum
katz, im from the UK, dont do NHL over here lol! one problem with you gt.... too clean and shiny [:D] although mine was like that a few weeks aho after a new chassis due to hitting a kurb (ironicly the fail safe got jammed between the servo and couldnt power down [8|]) yakfish, i have thought about putting a big block in one of mine one or twice, decided against though seems a bit too much fiddling around haha. plus the cv-r's are only a few months old with plenty of life left in them.
