RE: MLD-28 gasoline engine
ORIGINAL: XYZUSA
ORIGINAL: kennydee By the way, stuffing the muffler with steel wool is something we used to do when I rode Dirt Bikes (back in the day). Actually, the pots scourer would be what I'd try first (the stainless steel, not the plastic stuff). That material is coarse enough to limit back pressure but should yield a somewhat quieter muffler. Fine Steel Wool would probably be a little too restrictive. I think I will try the Pots Scourer stuff first and then maybe try very coarse steel wool. Also, based on my experience with steel wool in dirt bike mufflers, you would probably need to replace it more often.
Well, lets just say that we were happy that we had a lathe and a milling machine in our shop ! We spent many of cold nights this past winter, preparing these engines to meet our expectations and to market them in the USA. They are good engines, but who ever decides to sell them in the US, better check their QC. If they would have paid more attention to detail their quantity, it would have worked out. And that's all I have to say about that , Forest ! We are continuing our research within the Chinese market, and "to focus on the pilots that can not afford a $700 engine" in every large scale plane they own. Ron P.S. - Thanks to all who have supported us this past year. For you are the reason we continue moving toward our quest.
Sorry but we now have a TEAM to work on Quality control. MLD is a wonderful engine(I have seen it before) powerful and good worth its price. Our XYZ engine is another style lighter and looks beautiful. Thay have their own feature. Every one will have his own chioce. PS, Our XYZ-26ccHP will be launched in May.But I have to say it's no comparability with MLD.MLD is a great engine,so does XYZ. Carl

RE: xy 26cc
ORIGINAL: Loopman Hmmmm, I flew a CMPro AT6 with a Brillelli 26 and it was over powered! I have the XYZ 26 side carb version on a Dave Patrick Super Cub and it too is overpowered. MTC, the XYZ would fly the CMPro just fine. Loopman [;)]
New 26HP will be a rear carb engine.

RE: hobby city Turnigy HP 50 engine-any good?
[:D] The TGY 50HP is different from TGY 52cc. TGY HP50 is a rotary valve engine, and the muffler is like this[link=http://xyzengines.ec51.com/offer/833055.html]muffler[/link]

NEW!!!XYZ 26HP WITH A ROTARY VALVE
[:D] WOW~ XYZ company will launch a new 26cc gasoline engine in May! The new guy come to our family named XYZ-26cc-HP.I haven't got a picuture of it,but I will post on the thread if I get it ASAP. Of course it is a rotary valve engine! The same as XYZ-50cc-HP! Walbro carburetor from Japan. And the crankcase comp is milled by CNC,Its material is Aluminum. So of course lighter and more powerful! With a pitts muffler it looks nicer than the old ones. What amazing us is the weight is less than 1000g(2.2lbs) with muffler and CDI! So enjoy your flight with our new XYZ-26cc-HP in summer!
