HI i do have a DLE DLA and DM Engines all i can say is this most of the Engines uses the same parts the bearings are from japan same the carb' the all good Engines just use a 32:1 good oil balace every prop dont fly leane and the Engine will last longer the only problem that they share is the lower needle bearing connecting to cranckshaft in this case a new cranckshaft is needed a set of gaskets and you are fine to fly for 3 more yeaes ilan

I don't see any problem with this forum. i can estimate that 80% off our engines comes from the far east so what? some of them are good some even better and they are not as expensive like other brand names. i had a DA-50 new and it was a bad engine i sold the engine after 1 month my DLE-55 and my DM and the DLA engines are great no problems at all i can buy 2 engines at the same price as the DA. the parts are cheap try to buy MVVS or 3W or DA parts you will see what i am saying. i got many useful advices from this forum and i grateful to all the fellers that responded to me. god bless you all and pease on earth ilan

Synthetic or Mineral Oil
Hi many guys like me asking the same question over and over again why to use a mineral oil when we make a runin for our new engine? i know that the runin is faster the engine temprature is higher to mke al parts fit better but we pay for our mistake. we all know that mineral oil produce a lot of carbon inside our engine this carbon will stay there for ever we do run our engine at 2500-4000 RPM during runin this makes even more carbon inside. now we continue to fly another 5 gallons of this sticky oil and what we get is more carbon inside the engine. now i understand that synthetic oil produse less crabon and as oil it is make an very good lubrication so why not to run our engine cleaner very likely we need to extend the runin process but we have a better and cleaner engine. please respond. thanks ilan

DLA -56
Hi to all i have this engine for about a year now i am very pleased with it no problems al all. yesterday i removed the engine from my plane because i see some oil around the cylinder. i have found out the most of the screws was not closed hard and i had to tighten them also when flipping the prop i could hear some knoking from the conncting rod i think it is the needle berring i removed the carb and couled see the connecting rod and cranckshaft it is looked very cleane inside, when moved the crank all the way up i heared this knock and see a little free movement up there. now is it critical for the engine to run like this i use 1:32 oil no 3D flaying? second will DLE needle bearing will feet this engine? and can i do it myself? third do i need to replace the gasketes for this engine and will DLE 55 set will work thank you ilan
