RE: mamba monster help!
It was working fine until i tried changing the firmware. Went from 1.24 to the newest one. Didn't work so went back the the original one. Really wanted the 1.2 version since everyone says it works best with the summit but it says its not available. I didn't change anything on the radio anf now only the steering works. I also tried reversing the throttle channel just in case but still nothing??? Please help. thanks guys

RE: mamba monster help!
O.K been trying again this morning and still can't figure it out. Had a few "pops" last night so thought maybe i was over looking something. I found the LED code charts located here: http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20020 Says when its solid yellow = indicates neutral and armed ????? Steering works but nothing for throttle, its like its not recognizing asny type of throttle response. Even when trying to calibrate (hold full throttle then power up esc, it does the exact same thing. Says its supposed to: -hold full throttle, turn switch ON -After a few seconds you'll hear multiple tones and red LED will come ON -Now hold full full brake and after a few seconds you'll hear multiple tones and yellow LED will come ON -Now relax to neutral and after a few seconds you'll hear multiple tones and ALL LEDs will come light up -A few seconds later the ESC will arm with a double tone and your ready to go It never lets me do this, just chimes and goes to solid yellow. Please help, thanks

mamba monster help!
O.K. So bought a used Traxxas summit 2 days ago, everything was working great. Bored, i decided to hook up the mamba monster to castle link just to see what firmware he had on it. I read that the older version 1.2 was best for the summit (less clogging). When checking, looks like version 1.24 and up is the only version available for the v3 MMM. Now that i have hooked it up to castle link i need to re calibrate it to my radio (stock traxxas 2.4) but it won't let me???? Steering works, tried the calibration procedure but it doesn't work. ECS does its chime and flashes then goes right to solid yellow light????? help! thanks __________________

Summit low/high gear hesitent engaging problem
Hi, i 've recentluy bought a second hand summit. This truck is in perfect condition (looks like the guy never used it, like he said). Only problem is that is sometimes seems to hesitate when engaging from low to high gear. I come to a complete stop, switch it to high gear and alot of time nothing happens? I'll try switching back and forth and still nothing. When i know i've switch it to high gear and don't run it very fast in case it switches (which sometimes it does). other times it switches fairly quickly??? As for switching from high to low, it always works. Is there any way of adjusting this. please help. thanks

Safe charging current for lipo's
Hi, needless to say i'm new to lipo's and have a new hyperion 606i charger. It does 1-6cell at 0.1 to 6amp. What is a safe charging current. The batteries in question are thunder power 2Cell, 7.4V, 22C, 8000mah. I have two for my brushless blackjack 26 boat that are ran at the same time. thanks

Mini lst transmitter problem
My 4yr old son wanted to use his mini lst today after about 6 weeks of not using it. I was like sure buddy, just let me check/charge the batteries up and then you can use it. Turned it ON and the battery was pretty weak but it did throttle up and steering was fine so tx was working properly. Then charged up all his batteries went to go use it and when i turned ON the TX the lights on the back of it were red and flashing yellow. Thought no big deal, the batteries in the tx are too low OR the throttle trim is turned over too much and won't let it go on as a safety so the truck doesn't take off. Tried putting new batteries and adjusting the throttle trim and same thing happens???? Its just the cheap stock losi radio that you can change it to a few different channels by pressing the button on the back and matching the colors that are lite up to the ones on the receiver. Is the radio "fried" ? Sorry about the long explenation, lol

Well my first problem was that the channel was reversed. Then looked up the thread suggested and figured it out. Both the epa ratings on that channel had to be set at 100% on that radio. thanks for all your help guys!

Yes, its actually a baja 5b, so yes throttle/brake servo. Moves very quickly, i can't slowly give it gas, its very sensitive and moves all the way right away. thanks

Hi, this is a real stupid question but i was messing with my TX and now my throttle servo goes from neutral position to 100%throttle instantly. Which setting is used to make it slowly move from the neutral setting to max position? thanks

Killswitch question for my baja using JR SX3
Hi, i recently got a baja in a trade and it came with a killswitch. The guy a got it from was using a spectrum TX but kept it so i had to use my JR SX3. It does have a 3rd channel but can't figure out how to hook it up. As soon as i hook it up to my 3rd channel on my RX (novak xxtra) i can't start the engine. I tried all the settings on the TX for the third channel and nothing seems to work. If someone else uses this radio and a kill switch please help me out. thanks

please help with this problem!!!
I recently sold a 1/16 traxxas slash on ebay. The truck ran perfect when i sold it and was basicaly brand new. Once the new owner tried it he "says" that he ran it for a short period of time then it "SMOKED" and melted the batteries. He had it ran in series with nimh batteries. I always ran lipo's in it. Can not switching the ESC back to the nimh setting from the lipo setting cause this? If not, what can cause this (batteries to melt). I'm guessing he ran it real hard trying to see what this thing can do for a long period of time or trying to pull a scam with me (like he already had a slash and trying to pond his broken slash as mine and trying to get money back or something) I don't know what else to think since it ran perfect when i shipped it? Please help as soon as possible. thanks

RE: Thunder Cat 31
The canopy was broken when i got it so i decided to make that piece of aluminum. I didn't plan on going all the way across but then i remembered that i wanted to add air vents. I remember reading somewhere in this thread that it would really weakend the canopy if i just drilled some more holes so why not do it this way. I know its not much more air but each hole is even bigger than the original two and now there's 6, plus it didn't turn out all that bad. thanks

RE: Thunder Cat 31
Well I got this TC 31 that had some hull damage so it needed to be fixed. I Fixed it using some boat fiberglass resin, sanded it down completly, primed, painted, clear coated, waxed. I also painted the inside with some rubberized black paint for extra protection and LOOKS. I 've also done pretty much every mod located in the very long thread (moved the pressure line off the manifold and on to the pipe, removed head shims, ported out header to match the motors for even flow, cut down the rudder for less drag etc). I also sealed the gas even if it didn't leak but just in case. When i received it, the rear hatch that holds the canopy on was also broken so i made this peice of aluminum with added air vents. Now, the funny part, all these countless hours of work and now i have to sell it because i need the funds to get a new boat cover for my real boat, LOL. Anyway, here are some pics. Nothing special but i do like how the rear piece turned out. thanks

RE: Thunder Cat 31
Alright, finaly got my two boats in the mail (a used blackjack 26 SS with a grim racer prop (sharpened and balanced, after market pipe) and a TC 31) The TC has some hull damge so its giving me the oportunity to fix, custom paint, open up some air vents in the back etc. I'll have lots of time doing this one right with some or all the mods from the very long thread, since i'll just use the BJ 26 in the mean time. Anyway, i need a prop or two, which ones should i get that won't be too hard on the motor. I remember reading it a few ago but now i can't find it? Also, where to order from (i live in Canada). thanks!!!!

My first crawler, modded AX10, Please see pics
So over the last couple weeks i've been considering getting a crawler or a tarxxas summit. I was definatley leaning towards the summit but this kinda fell into my lap on a trade (plus i'm sure its hard to find summits on trades). I got it yesterday and have only ran a few packs through but love it already! having never actually tried or seen a crawler for real (only you tube) i was surprisingly impressed on what this thing could handle. Its a slightly modded AX10 with a diffrent chassis (i was told its a tuber TCS edge chassis with stainless panels), Rockster 2.2 beadlocks with memory foam that was "star cut", battery/ servo tray up front with custom linkage, bend chassis linkage and set up as "DROOP" (which i just learned what that meant yesterday, lol). The motor and ESC are stock but if i decided to keep it will be upgraded to the novak system. I love the look of this truck and the way it handkles so far but know nothing about crawling. I was told the way it is set up has its ups and downs but overall a better crawl. I'm guessing by having more weight in the front (battery) gives more torque on the front end to pull it up and having the droop set up gives it a lower center of gravity with less chance of tumbling over BUT less clearance?? Thanks for looking! BTW: Not new to rc, just new to crawling (i'm a Nitro guy!)

Hi, the white pipe is white 3/4" pvc available in the plumbing section at most hardware stores (like rona, home depot). They come in 'T', 90deg elbows, 45deg elbows, caps, reducers, couplings etc. pretty cheap too.
