RE: CRRC GF50i 50cc problems and fixes
The more I learned about these engines, the more I realized that they belong in a trash can. They will bring you misery amongst many other problems.

RE: two batteries one reciever
ORIGINAL: pdm52956 One comment on the switch you've decided on. There have been issues with the solder joint where the wire connects to the switch. Vibration can cause the joint to fail. I've been running that switch without problems for a couple years until this past weekend when I noticed that a wire had broken at the joint for the charge jack. I urge you to get some shoe goo and put it around the solder joints at the wire connections on the back of the switch. It will dampen the vibration and stop the wires from breaking.
I lost a plane about a year ago due to the very same failure at the wires where they connect to the miracle switch you are talking about.( the solder joints were VERY POORLY soldered ) I went back and checked out the other planes I had the miracle switch installed in and found out it WAS A MIRACLE I had not lost more planes due the JUNK miracle switches. I pulled them all out of my planes and replaced them with Jr on off switches and have never had a problem since. Oh well lesson learned.

RE: Tired Old Man and Jody
I rarely ever post on RCU any more. But I do research the threads at times for hours it seems like at times just to get a simple answer. I learned ALLOT from Jody, and T.O.M. and many others on here. At times the answers I got were a bit, if not completely coated in sarcasim. But the trueth is I will ALWAYS value the things I learned from all of them. I am one of the ones who needed a thicker skin, and Got one after first coming to RCU. I personaly would be willing to thank all those on RCU I learned from first hand, or it is to say shake their hands and say thank you! Thank you to all the folks on RCU and other web sites that have taken the time to post answers to the seemingly simple questions I posted when I first started out not o long ago.
ORIGINAL: dditch yearningtofly, What were wrong with the engines? Mine does not have many tanks on it but I don't have any issues (yet?)
The one I got from Jim at Agape racing has been an excellent runner and still is. The ones I got from ibcinyou have all had timing issues, and and ignition issues. And the list of problems goes on. So for now Im done with the engine line, I have decided to buy engines that will last more than an hour, and buy them from sellers who will back up the warranties when needed.
ORIGINAL: fillopygeesi I have the V2 version and have had no luck with mine. It was beleived that a certain handfull of them had the timing incorrect from the factory. Evidently I bought one of the ones that was because mine ran really crappy, vibrated somthing awfull, and would deliver full rpms. I was told it could be easily fixed with a timing kit so I tried that. The engine behave better but still not much power and wouldnt idle. Id like to find somone with more eperience to see about getting it to run right if possible but the guy I talked to that had delt with the same problem on multiple CRRC engine to said he closed his shop.
I bought several of these engines, and I CAN NOT FOR ANY REASON RECOMEND TO ANYONE TO BUY ONE. I bought several of these engines from a seller here on rcu named ibcinyou, they were all basicly junk, and were more greif than any ohter engine I have ever bought. The Seller refuses to repair them, even thought they are still under warranty. He has now stopped answering my emails and phone calls. Just beware of who you buy these engines from.

RE: Can anyone help me with what this is and what it fits?
ORIGINAL: mboland It's a gear reduction drive. Â Used to swing large scale props with smaller motors. Â Many of the larger WW1 planes use them to allow the use of scale size props spinning at lower rpm. But will fit most planes, best for scale like flying where you don't want a buzzing toothpick up the front. Is that prop fixed? or has it variable pitch? Â Nice. Â Â
Thanks for the info. Now that I know what it is, I did a search online and found ALOT of people looking for these. At least now If I do not keep it, I can sell it to someone who will use it. THANKS AND GOD BLESS!!

RE: CRRC GF50i 50cc problems and fixes
ORIGINAL: 72 My dealer in Canada is Paragon and I don't have problems with parts or service. These engines take a long time to break in and develop power because of the 2 rings I think, but they will last forever. I also like the single bolt prop hub with no extra drilling. Never had a prop come loose yet.
I am with you on the break in part. And the single bolt prop hub. My 50cc was easy to start and even easier to tune after I got the spun bearing issue repaired. I think the seller I got my engine from gets engines that are seconds, meaning they are not the better quality engines the big dealers get. I bought mine for the purpose of testing the engines before I bought into the line to sell out of my shop. The whole nightmare with the seller I bought from has rooted my beliefs of taking care of the customer, and treating them with respect, even deeper. By the way, I have emailed the seller several times about other engines I bought from him, and haven't heard ANYTHING BACK!! BEWARE!!! WHO YOU BUY FROM!!

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)
Ok , So apparnetly there is no proof at all, of these engines running without the very BAD mid range burble. If there was someone would post a video to show it. And yes I changed my name on rcu. That was my choice, and it describes what goes through my mind while I put in the hours at work, making a living and providing for my family.I have seen too many engines like this one come and go to make any further investments without doing the research needed to see for myself that an engine performs the way I want them too. I can see why the Dealers and sellers of these engine choose to hide the trueth about how they run. All I asked for was facts and proof of the fact. Go ahead and cut me down if you like, I honestly do not care. I am happy just knowing that if the engine does not perform welol from idle through mid range, to full throttle, I have no desire to throw away money on something that will not perform the way I want. I do want to say thank you for the advice.
