RE: What does weathering for us....
Thank you very much. I agree. I have heard positive and negative things about my tanks and the weathering, but I have yet to see a real one, that has been in any combat environment, that is not damaged, or weathered in some way. If I do a build for someone, I will paint it any way they like, most prefer light weathering, and some want it to look beat to hell. It is preference. Me? Well...I have a little of both. I sure am not afraid to get them dirty though

RE: What does weathering for us....
Very well put. I am like you, I like tanks that I build to look like they have seen action...or even worse sometimes. It is all about ebjoying the build and having fun. I have been asked alot of questions lately on how to perform weatheirng techniques and decided to begin a blog on my site to demonstrate different ways to do this.

No apologies needed. This is fun to watch actually. As a technician, it is quite simple. Cooling fans pull the hot air out of the radiator.

It's a great looking Elephant Jeff! I like that camo and you pulled it off wonderfully! It must have a lot of torquwe with the 480's and 8-toothers in it huh? Any chance of a video of the beast in action?

I know that there is a video on youtube with an interview of the TC fromt that Perhsing too. Don't know how much that would help you, but I think it would be a great tank to model.

RE: will this combo work?
No. The Asiatam Axles are are a smaller diameter than the Tamiya. Besides that, the late wheels by Asaitam are terrible from my experience. i had 2 sets that continued to fall apart on me in the field. When I finally built my late tamiya Tiger, I used Wecohe late wheels for it. Never had a single problem. Impact tracks are very good though. No trouble there.

RE: Leopard 1
In the relrease, the barrel is the same as the original, isn't it? That would mean it was not designed for Fo conversiona nd has to be scratch built. That is the way my original one came, anyway....

RE: Zimmerit
I have done the milliput zimmerit on my Tiger 1, and then we gewt the ATAK products a week after I finished it. Always the way. I did use the ATAK on the recent Elephant build and I have to say it looks real good. It is easy to work with and clean. If ti's available for thr tank you are doing, I highly recommend it.
