RE: Malware threat.
Oh ok. So clearly the site management is doing something or trying to interject some type of phishing malware. My antivirus indicated that many of the detected threats from RCU has been some kind of phishing malware. Well, I guess no more RCU on my laptop. Oh well.

Malware threat.
Hi all. Has anyone noticed or happened to you when you going on RCU website as of late? For the last week or so, my antivirus AVG has blocked the site completely due to some malware threats that the main site is having on its domain. Thanks.

RE: Align Trex 450 Pro FBL 3gx problem
I don know if Align has fixed this issue yet or not, but some rare cases the 3GX units shorted itself out through the chrome plated case. This was due to the case was plated throughout, and the inner case surface was too close to the electronics components, it shorted and cycles power. Maybe this is your case? If so, look on YouTube. There are vids on how to fix this. Good luck.

Still fly my birds 72 different ways over here. Never had an issue with radio system, so I don't see the reason to jump on the 2.4. Besides, with the influx of 2.4, I can buy good 72 band stuff dirt cheap. :)

RE: Engel Subs
Ok. Once again, Mr. Engel came through and got the package shipped today, as his company has been on time, and very fast before for me. According to him. They have stopped accepting credit card orders as of yesterday. He mentioned to use Paypal, but I don't know what is the percentage of Paypal fee will be added to the final cost of the order, so please check with them before. Apparently, they have been smacked with some credit cards fraudulent purchases the last couple of weeks, so the company that handles their payments is giving them a hard time about it. No Paypal surcharge for orders. (Latest)

RE: Engel Subs
I got this info because I recently placed an order with them. After everything was packed, and ready to be ship out, I got an email notified me that the order is "On Hold" I emailed Gregor Engel, and after a few inquiries, he told me that the company that's handling their credit cards payments and purchases has recently changed their policy. Mr. Gregor said that this company only paying his company if orders are from a few trusted European countries. United Kingdom has the same issues like here. That was what I understood from him. So, they refused to pay Engel, which in turns has forced Engel to hold off on the shipping process until it clears. After a few more emails, Gregor asked me for a copy of my passport, or other identification that shows the identical shipping address, and name so that he could prove to the company that stop the payment to him. Mr. Gregor informed me that he has submitted my ID to that company, and will schedule for Federal Express to pickup the package tomorrow afternoon. Will see if that happens. As of now, I checked my Engel account, and the order status still says "On Hold" I will update as soon as I get the "Shipped" status. Wait until then to be safe if you want to order. Cheers.

Chunwai Tanks
Hi guys. I am totally new to tank, and I am looking for something in the mid range for all metal tanks. Searching on here showed a few threads in regards to Chunwai. To be honest, I have always been kinda weary of buying things from the Mainland China (no disrespect intended) Are they a reputable place to order from, and how is the product quality? Thanks guys. Best regards.

Engel Subs
Hi gents. Just a heads up. If anyone is going to place an order with Engel for anything, please be advise. They are currently suspending orders with credit cards that came from many other countries other than Germany. This is due to the company that's handling Engel's credit cards payment has decided that they will not transfer the money to Engel if the card is from other countries. They (not Engel) will let the payment from your bank go through, and then refuse to pay Engel. This in turns will force Engel not to ship your order to you in the timely manner that Gregor has been known to have done in the past. It also means that you will have to deal with the banks yourself to get your money back. Please advise.

DX7 Voltage Indicator fluctuates
Hi all. I was wondering if any of you have seen this. I just bought a second hand DX7, and upon powering it up, I noticed that the voltage indicator fluctuates between 6 to 7.5 volts very quickly for a brief moment then it jumps to the full 10.7 or 10.9 volts after its been charged. Is this normal? Thanks.

RE: the Shakes
Lesson learned. This was a brand new super combo from a sealed box. However, the person, or person that built the head, tail assembly was the unknown variable. I have always built all of my choppers up from kits before, so I had full control over the entire part list, and assembly processes. This time, I did go though everything with the hex wrench, but failed to realize there was no lock tight in the head components.. Luck was on my side this time.. Thankfully.

RE: the Shakes
I am new to this Trex thing. Because half of the heli was pre-built by someone, I thought I would trust it, and only went over the nuts and bolts tightening lightly. I came so close to have a serious accident. After a few rounds of checking blades tracking run near me, the thing started to shakes violently. Only came to realization the the bolts that holds the blade grips together on the shaft were coming undone. Only a few more threads, and them blades would have come loose and would have struck my face for sure. So, please check everything, and lock tight every bolts.

RE: Why are Sub Radios so Hard to Find?
So, if you were able to rigged the LED to turn on when the servo responses to your command from the transmitter, which means that the radio system is functioning properly. I would have to assume that if there was glitches with the servo while it was under water, you would have seen the LED fluctuating as well. If none was detected, then the radio setup is fine. You might want to try to locate the source of interference elsewhere within the watertight hull. My guess would be a loose connection, or some kind of strained in the motor when you commanded it to run or dive. The strain in one of these motors could send electrical noise right to the receiver's antenna and caused it to have glitches. What I did see with my own sub was that, if the battery was low on charge, glitches happened when I throttled it forward or backward. Charged the battery full, and the problem went away. Try that to see if it may be the cause. Good luck. :)

RE: Why are Sub Radios so Hard to Find?
I have not try the Neptune yet, but radio signals works similarly in a lot of subs. Before you try to change out the entire radio setup, try to reroute the antenna within the watertight compartment. Try to put it as far a way away from the motor, or the speed controller as you can. I run my converted Revell Gato model, and its compartment is even smaller than your Neptune. I used to have the same issue at first, but after trial and error, rerouting the antenna seems to have worked.

Hi. I have the Data Safe that came with the 10X PCM transmitter that I bought. I was wondering if I can get the software that works with the existing adapter for Windows XP, or Windows 7? The old software are for Windows NT and 98, and it doesn't work with XP or 7. Thank you.

RE: Idle problem
Hi Bill. Thanks for the input. YS engine runs with a pressurized system, so tank location is not really a problem. I just don't know if the on board glow driver is a necessary item for inverted engine due to slow idle RPM and gravity that may loaded the fuel too rich in the chamber.

Idle problem
Hi all. Hope you guys can help. Is it needed to install an on board glow driver for an invert mounted YS engine? I got it to idle at 2400 RPM for about 10 seconds before it dies out. Tried adjusting every settings, but no luck. All seals and diaphragm are new. I also noticed that fuel was leaking out of the carb when I try to prime it for starting, but no fuel get sucked into the combustion chamber. I had to flip the plane upside down to get it to start, then flip it back. What can be wrong? Thanks in advance for all the tips.

Hi. I looked at the diaphragm, it looked supple, soft and there's fuel inside of it. The plunger moved easily when i push it up and down inside the regulator unit.

Engine Idle Issue
Hi all. I am wondering if the experts here can help. Long story short, after a crash, my YS 120FZ was repaired by me. However, most of the gaskets were intact, so I didn't have to replace any. After a long while of sitting once repaired, I tried to start it today using wildcat 20-20. It wouldn't start. I had to drop fuel into the carburetor to get to start. Once it did, it will not idle at 2000 RPM as it used to before. Once started, it jumped to anywhere from 4000 to 5500 RPM, and surges up and down. Sometimes it drops down to 2200 RPM, then it either stop running or surges back up to 5000. I had checked the throttle linkage and setting for idle on the engine itself, all is fine. Would it be possible there's air leaks, or gasket leaks somewhere to caused the engine to idle so high and surges like this? Thank you for all the inputs.

RE: Idle Problem
Hi Ruiz. The ECU stated low RPM when it shuts down. The RPM during the starting process was normal, smooth. Only when the terminal display "running" message, that's when it surges.

Idle Problem
Hello all. How are you guys? I recently up dated my ECU to Xicoy 605 ECU. I test run the engine a couple of times before, and it worked flawlessly. However, today I was starting it up for a brake test, and I had forgotten to remove the fuel vent plug. The pump collapsed the UAT, and engine quit. After I removed the fuel vent plug, the engine start fine with a couple of spurts of blue fire from the exhaust cone. The terminal indicated that it achieved running status, but soon after reaching the idle RPM, it begins to surges up and down up and down between 34000 to 35500 for about 15 seconds then it shuts down. I reset the power, ECU, nothing seems to work. Please help if you gents would happen to know the culprit. Thank you so much.
