RE: Traxxas Summit
Is there any upgrade for the pinion and spur to get more torque? am not thinking of using dual motors. if you got the link pls share. what's the voltage supply for the LED lights? 6v? or it uses a regulator for 4.5? i think the led light's are in series connection? i bought this summit for just a hundred$ with no wires from the receiver to the LED's. it only had a damage Left Steering servo, i have temporarily put an mg995 metal gear servo. it's all working well now anyway should it be best just to buy the original servo or get an hitec metal gear and h2O proof it?

RE: Kyosho 777 spec 2
by intuition the 777 is the predecessor in buggy design from K3 or lets say the 777 is designed to run or handle better than k3. i still have my MP777sp2 much more upgraded. instead of buying a new one i decided to do some lightening like lighten the body weight, lighten the cooling head (by boring some holes to reduce weight, replacement of still bearings to ceramic and replacement of steel screws to titanium < this is where i 'm heading now.

RE: Best way to prolong engine life
Thx for the replies i've been looking for this kind of stuff for so long maybe this is the difference when you don't get to race on the track you're always outdated of any new devices on the market. our town is just currently building one anyways after 6 years of just bashing around. i had gotten the chance to race in manila (an hour air trip) few years back but somehow my wife pirated my travel funds that i've been saving lol. Really appreciated your help thx again morepowerto you guys

Best way to prolong engine life
i just know the best way to prolong engine life (aside from proper maintenance) is to preheat it before using it for race or bash, in the house we can use our hair dryer or hot air gun but out door or there in the field we could use the sun expose the buggy to the heat (but would take much longer we don't have the patience t do that most of the time) or i could wish someone would invent an hand held device to heat up the cylinder head using, coz i beleive if we always start the engine an an expanded state (not bump start it coldly) we could really really slowly wear the engine piston and sleeve isn' not? and race happily ever after [:D]

RE: RE:
Ran, i honestly must say you u got a nice rig there. i 'd even bet on it on ifmar worlds championship hehe (just kiddin) imagine if you get lucky n got first wow that would make the eyes for those who have a thousand dollars plus race buggies puff out lol. for me doesn't really matter if your buggy isn't top of the line for as long as it's on top of a good car set up and well balanced. i bought nylon spur gears, yeh their plastic but they could last the whole race event and much lighter. the new vspec II cooling head i think is also a must. i wonder if it can fit on GO or Axe Rossi engines. it would really contribute to making our buggies a little lighter. got only frt threaded bb shocks. i wouldn't put 16mm bb on my rear, this is to add more wt in frt and less weight on the rear, oh well every single ounce counts that what they say. so i'm considering every thing to balance my buggy. i aslo use threaded hinge pins on my frt. e-clips on my rear, i also use alum upper arm on my frt. my lower ofcoarse is nylon plastic. my buggy currently has 4 disc brakes, i'm gonna put away 2 and stick to the dual disc (got strong servos anyway) 121609- checked the cg today it moved around 2mm further to the frt

RE: RE:
Jas! buddy haha so good to see you. That's what griz said he's distributing Go Engines now. i wonder if we get special discount if we buy from him lol. you know what if our redcat buggies can weight same as kyosho or xrays i think they can go just as good. i'm putting back the eclips on my hingepins. they are much lighter. for as long as they those eclips dont hit anything they will last long and wont fall off. i'm also gonna put lightened 46T from kyosho on my redcat. by the way check this out http://www.nandaracing.cn/en/cpzs/car/nrb3r/nrb3r_js.html i just bought this for 300$ it's so light! (doesn't mean am gonna dispose my redacat) it already has lightened parts i just got lucky someone bought my reconditioned Hyper7 PRO for 600$ lol so i bought the nanda nrb3r hehe. before i handed the h7pro to the buyer we made a few test runs and he dam like it so much so we made a deal. prior to that i said i spend around 950$ 6 years ago at first i said i have no plans selling it but if someone would get it for 600 i would then let the h7 go, and there he offered me to buy it. well this is the advantage when you live in the outskirts i guess lol naughty zaint!

RE: Modding Ultimate Wall-E
Lipos can be use both brush and brushless motors. lipo packs in parallel connection is ok to use on wall-e or any battery operated toys or devices. wall-e doesn't like rough pavements. dont ever let your kids play him there. he likes smooth tiled floors, carpets. or any smoother surface areas. one of my kids wall-e got one of its gears broken when he was used on rough pavement. after that incident wall-e can't perform to dance perfectly anymore luckyly i was able to repair it. i made the broken part much stronger. he's now dancing perfectly. there isn't enough room for extra bettery pack inside wall-e body. well that's all i know about that toy. take care of your ultimate wall-e. sry to say there arent any experts to help us around here. we're on our own. there arent any aftermarket parts for wall-e so this toy is simply expendible so goodluck.

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread
Hi lunch, nope it isn't locked down. i still have to put the cables (bicycle brake cables) there to control the steering but have to make as short as possible coz those cables are a bit heavy the project isn't finished yet that's why you haven't seen the other servo yet. i'm still gonna use 4WS infact, just ordered the dual steering computer on Punkrc to get get that crab walk capability. They also have DIG switch which is better i guess. haven't you check punkrc website yet? they have cool gadgets for converted crawlers. junfac servo saver i chose is hard, i'm still gonna use a medium rate s-saver to put on my servo. just to make i don't keep buying servo. those big rocks out there on the hill aren't freindly you know lol. i realize moving on to the next level of clodbusting is getting expensive lol.
