RE: MLD-28 gasoline engine
I have a tuning question. I have the mld 28 running at 40:1 with klotz oil and 18x6 xoar prop. It sounds good and spins about 8100 rpms on the ground, when it is going vertical it sounds smooth but when I am flying strait and level at anything above half throttle it pops and crackles out the exhaust. If I richen it,it sounds worse when I lean it I lose rpms. Can one play with timing on this issue?

RE: Introducing the new 90-1.20 Yak QB
Well I am ready to pick my rx battery and I went through this thread. I went with hs-5645's for servos and a 2 cell li-po for juice on the mld-28,but what what are you guys running for your servos? I would like a 5 cell but trying to stay away from sub c size due to weight. Any input on mah and cell size would be great.

RE: MLD-28 gasoline engine
I got my mld 28 but had to send back due to scoring on the cyl wall. I have been reading that some people are saying not to run anything over 6.0 volts on the cdi. If you read the manual it says a 2 call li-po will work and the cdi box says up to like 15 volts or something like that ,anybody have any input?

RE: Introducing the new 90-1.20 Yak QB
Well I got mine and wow it looks nice. Hinges are a little tight and they don't travel all the way but I am hoping they will get better. Jimeni, how is the spe working out lately? I am looking at that one or the mld28 gas engine any prefrence? Hope this will be the king of the fleet for me!

RE: *New Hanger 9 Pulse XT 60*
Mine was missing parts also.Top hatch was glued down(had to cut off),holes in wheel pants don't line up so one points down the other points up,the screws that hold the cowl on don't match the threads in the blind nuts, had to replace throttle tube due to a large glob of glue inside the tube, elevater halfs are off by about 3/16 of an inch from one side to the other and with an os .61 I had to mount the battery back in the tail right behind the wing bolts. But all in all the covering job was nice. This is not my first plane either I have built close to 13 arf's and many of them being Hanger 9's this is by FAR the worst one,I think I will strip electonics and donate to our club for a beater plane.Thank god I work at a hobby store and didn't pay full price!!

RE: seagull 46 size edge 540 anyone have one
I would like to know also.I have been looking at this for awhile and was wondering if a .61 would be to much. As far as the satio,I would go with the .82 it is only a few bucks more.I have the .82 in my funtana 50 and it works great.

RE: Beware New H9 Ultra Stick 40
but the idea behind an ARF is to build and go fly,not halfway build, modify, grind away wood then go fly.Plus i have to look at it from a beginers point. I say hanger 9 has well built planes,he takes it home, trys building it and then back and beats me with it.I just think there quality is going down hill,i come across alot that have the hinge slots off centered, firewalls coming apart, and the planes folding in half(tribute).

RE: Beware New H9 Ultra Stick 40
same problem with rud-elev hitting, talked to horizon and they said i built it wrong!!This was about my 6th or 7th arf i've built. The kicker is i am the manager at the lhs that buys from there company and they still won't do anything about it.So i'am trying to put a little pressure on my rep. and we'll see what happens.
