i like this one as you see one of these on the road everyday. it's a modded creeper with a scx10 chassis kit and traxxas brushless and waterproof servo and lots of steel. cost less to build it than to buy one

RE: Scaler/rock crawler ideas
my scx10 is actually built from parts with old venom axles i had laying around, a axial scx10 chassis kit, integy 98 mm shocks, traxxas waterproof speedo motor and servo and a bunch of traxxas links off the shelf and of course more but you see it can be done from parts and the best thing is that when you build your own you can set the wheelbase for your favorite body love them hummers i do have one with a hummer body scared to run it

underwater radio
i have a scx10 based trail rig that i run on the trails of local parks and right now it has a futaba 3pd fm radio (waterproof box for the reciever) and when i go into a creek or river i still have control. i was thinking about going to a 2.4ghz radio as i have a spectrum dx3c, and i was wondering if the spectrum would still have control underwater at about 1 foot deep.

RE: Scaler/rock crawler ideas
the axial scx10 is prolly the best rig for trail running i tell people it's just like walking the dog except you can control the speed. and the scx10 can be upgraded on the cheap as parts are everywhere. just make it waterproof and you can drive it anywhere

kevin h at rcca did a nitro crawler a couple of years back and it did work, but clutch problems did arise. as with anything else if you want it bad enough and you have the money anything is possible.

they really don't say the scale on the box though 1.9 crawler tires fit the wheels just fine.

rc4wd.com has all the parts you need to do a front motor. they have it with the motor, trans, and transfer case. of course it's pricey. i think they call it the fracture V8.
