RE: Scout rockcrawler
ORIGINAL: RVJimD Cool!  Looks like a great area for the truck! Is the Scout a kit or rtr or what?  I am interested but dont know what to start with?  I would want to start with a rtr that I could hop up as I go along. Thanks for the vid! Jim
Thanks guys. Its a custom tamiya/axial mutt crawler I put together. If you wanna get into scaler's, I highly recommend the Axial SCx10. Its a great performer alltogether. I've competed against it in the scale class and it rocks! BTW check out the new 1.9 tires from Rc4wd. Tire choice like in any rc class is key to getting up there. cheers STeve

RE: Who was it????
There was also Twisted Toys. This individual produced one of the best stock and ext lenght LCG TVPs out there.I still have the stock lenght but sold the ext to a buddy. I wish, I had kept that one instead. The TT roll cages were also a hot commodity at the time. I don't know if he still lingers around the forum these days. Good luck with your search..

RE: steering for savage x 4.6
I just installed the towerpro MG946R in my savage. For a mere $19 shipped, it has ample torque to steer the savage . I've been using this servo on my rock crawler with great results. Only time will tell how long it will last on a larger scale truck. heres a quick vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wx8Wx_IRBuY

RE: Engine Sealing a Myth??
I've had three engines for my savage and all were perfect out of the box. I never needed to seal any of the engines until I came across the Orion wasp 28. This engine was a total POS. Could never hold a tune and just kept dying on me. However, that all changed when someone suggested I seal the backplate and carb. Its now on its 4 gal and still pumpin like a champ. Sealing is definately a must for some engines out there. I still wouldn't recommend the Wasp engine to anyone. I just got lucky.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
hey lewis, If your referring to the cuda. I actually picked it up at a LHS. the hobby shop owner was having a summer clean up sale and needed space for 1/5 scales. Sold me the cuda as you see it for $20. the guy that does it normally charged $70. If its the the truck its a proline ford courier. I went on painting the outisde of the body to achieve that junker truck look. here's a vid of it in action http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8765282606261117312&hl=en cheers steve
