RE: 40% Edge 540 build
The Pipe Tunnel is sick! Wonder how much weight savings he got by using stringers vs foam belly pan? Do you know what he used for the honey comb plate on top of the hatch area? Nice build .................

RE: Fuel starvation on long down lines?
I was told Viton line works even better than neopene, I haven't checked yet maybe that is what blue line is.
Doug, You can get the Viton through McMaster Carr, it works great and no brass insert needed. Get the same size as the tygon 1/4" OD X 1/8" ID After one season, the line still looks good and is flexible.

RE: Fuel starvation on long down lines?
Doug, You should be at idle on most down lines (very little throttle) and really not using Gas. Usually the amount of Gas in the line and Carb is enough to get you through the down-line and into your next maneuver. Maybe give us other details.

RE: Aero Works P-51?
ORIGINAL: Aero-Works Hello, At this point we are still working out which gear will be used for the production. I assure you the best possible product will be used. The plane will be offered in ARF and ARC versions I am still looking into the possibilities of offering the option of purchasing it without the gear. We have finished the prototype and will begin the flight testing next week. If all goes well with the test flights the plane will go into production very soon. Lets hope for the best! Thank You Rocco Mariani Aeroworks
I hope it Flys better then expected!

RE: Kimball-Somenzini Python Build Thread
ORIGINAL: Rob Howarth 'BEST WAY' = Fly it slower on base and approach!?![X(] Wing loading on the QQ Python is very low. The airframe is incredibly draggy. With a bit of alpha on you will need a bit of power until the flare. Roll out even on a zero wind day will be very little.
Richard, I agree with the above statement; Fly slower on Base and Approach. I have a Throttle Curve on mine and I know that three clicks up will carry the Plane in (no wind) and when over the short grass, I chop the Throttle and look to flare. The Python needs a little Throttle to carry it in, but Altitude is speed, so not to high either it's just more speed to bleed off. just my .02 cents ..... your friend, Ward

Thanks Kyle
??? I just started into IMAC and one observation I've made is that most Pilots have one IMAC Plane and one Freestyle Plane (3D). From Build Threads over the past 12 months, I would say the 300 is THE Plane for IMAC, just my .02 cents. Do the 300 for IMAC and get something else to throw around (3D).

RE: 30% 300S mod to mid wing?
ORIGINAL: 80stars Anyone know the prop/spinner balance requirements on carbon fiber? Is balancing done with the producer or will I need to balance both?
Doug, Depends who made it, Mejzlik's are really good about balancing their props, but I always check. And I check the their Spinners too. You'll find that 99% of the time they balance. Always a good idea to check them, only takes a few minutes and will help your airframe's longevity. Can't wait to hear you Flight report, several of us have been watching the Build and wish you much success.
